For this project, I have redesigned the 100 and 20 dollar American bills. As an overall theme, I wanted to highlight empire builders in the United States.
On the front of the 100 dollar bill is Walt Disney, who (obviously) created the Disney empire. William Randolph Hearst, featured on the front of the 20, was an American newspaper publisher who built the nation’s largest newspaper chain and media company. The backs of the bills picture the corresponding castle of each entrepreneur.
For the coloring of the bills, I chose a darker pastel pallet to work with. These colors are bright and recognizable without being too vibrant to attract too much attention (because nobody wants to get robbed). Each bill has its own color for quick and easy recognition and should thus make it easier to find that 20 while looking through your wallet.
